IMAA 10

 So, have any of you worked on a project for a long time and realized that the entire time you were saying something wrong? It's Iron Man Armored Adventures, not animated. I literally noticed this at the last possible moment that I could have before I turn this in, and of course it's when I am dead tired. Strange mental quirks aside, let's go.

Episode 10: Ready, A.I.M., Fire!

The episode starts with Iron Man flying after some flying bands filled with people that look like they're in beekeeper suits. The Beekeeper looking people have lasers and some type of sensor blocking smokescreen like thing. They also had Iron Man with some type of anti gravity gun. Me and her gravity gun also knocks out Tony's power, causing him to plummet back to the Earth. He survives, but very nearly didn't. Cue the intro.

Once they get to the school they realize that the job fair is going on. Pepper also brings out the interesting fact that Shield has a booth at this job fair, which is odd, but I digress. Whitney Stane is a new transfer student to their high school now, and she asked for Tony to show her around. While they look around, Tony is stopped by a creepy dude named Basil Sandhurst from a group called A.I.M., The Advanced Idea Mechanics. He also admits the very creepy thing that A.I.M. is just there for Tony Stark. But that's just a totally normal thing for Think Tank groups to do, go to random high schools for one specific student. Absolutely nothing wrong here. Sandhurst then tries to convince Tony to work on a project for A.I.M. 

Tony is immediately convinced to start working on it, granted it is a cool project that could be really impressive if he completes it. It's supposed to make a way for people to control technology with their minds, which is really cool. Tony immediately starts putting his friends to work helping him figure out how to fix the controller discs to get them to work. Tony reveals that Whitney has been following him like his shadow. Whitney then finds him as he tries to go to the school lab.

Sandhurst is being berated by his boss where he is told that his project is over, orders he immediately ignores.

Tony convinces his friends, now including Happy and Gene, to help him finish the controller disc. Whitney comes in and finds Tony. Pepper is immediately rude towards Whitney and Whitney responds in kind. Well I say in kind, what I mean is she kind of insults Pepper worse. Tony has to step in to break up the fight. The controller disks work and Sandhurst's boss tells him to use it to bring him Tony. Sandhurst uses the controller helmet to control the minds of the people Tony had on helping him. Sandhurst then starts attacking him through his friends. Tony & Whitney escape to the Main Hall of the school Tama where they are intercepted by Sandhurst and his team Goons. Let you get away and Tony near immediately tricks Whitney into a closet and locks her in. He runs off and grabs his backpack, which may I remind you is actually his Iron Man suit, and jumps out a window in front of some guards. Using the time during the fall he transforms into Iron Man.

Iron Man bursts in through a different window and takes down the guards. Sandhurst uses the mind-controlled students as meat shields, and starts referring to himself as The Controller. Whitney suddenly appears and darts beating the crap out of all of the people that were holding Iron Man at gunpoint, partially breaking the controllers helmet and the process. Iron Man flies off after the escaping controller and blows up all of the controller's disks, prototypes, and research.

Whitney claims that everyone was gone before she got out of the closet. She also admits that she was sent to spy on Tony. The episode ends with her claiming that she came here for her own reasons.

Overall this was a pretty good episode. It introduced A.I.M. pretty well in my opinion and set up hints for a future plot line with M.O.D.O.C, a project mentioned throughout the episode. I'll probably make my final post to this blog for now soon after I get my grade back for this project just to make sure that anyone who's been reading these till now knows how well I did with the project.
